The principle of "time is money" applies now more than ever to professional turf care. Whether it's an athletic field or a golf course, the amount of time you have at your disposal is becoming increasingly limited while players place ever more exacting demands on the quality of the turf. Regular decompaction and deep aeration are vital to healthy root growth. Breaking up compacted soil allows the roots to penetrate deeper into the ground and make better use of water and nutrients. The flow of water and the air balance are improved, thatch is removed, and the strength of the grass is increased.

In the past, this type of maintenance was extremely time consuming. This has changed. TERRA SPIKE XF deep aerators have revolutionized turf care and set new standards with regard to speed, productivity, and quality of work. Aerify and decompact turf down to a depth of 8 1/2' at travel speeds up to 3.5 mph, saving up to 60% of the time previously spent on this type of maintenance.

• The continuous crankshaft is driven on both sides by "elastic" ribbed V-belts. The maintenancefree drive is encapsulated and dust and dirt proof.

• The extremely sturdy, computeroptimized crankshaft runs on large-sized ball bearings. Precisely calculated counterweights give the TERRA SPIKE XF / XD unrivaled smooth running.

• The optional turf retainer prevents damage to shallow rooted turf.

• The working depth of the TERRA SPIKE XF / XD can be adjusted easily and without tools by using a manually operated crank. As an option, the working depth can be set hydraulically from the seat of the tractor even while driving

• The robust tine holders with large-sized ball bearings are capable of withstanding extreme conditions, such as impact loads, dirt, and sand.

• The integrated tine fitting and removal system allows quick and trouble-free fitting of the conical 3/4" and 1" hollow tines.

• Central and quick adjustment of the tine entry angle (90 to 65) and working depth without need for tools. With only one central crank, you can easily and quickly make these settings which are so important for the quality of your work - regardless of the tine length you have fitted or whether the tine is new or used.

• If the optional hydraulic rotary brush is used instead of the rear roller, the turf is first top-dressed and then deep spiked with the TERRA SPIKE XF while the topdress material is brushed into the turf. You save time and money and prevent compaction

• When using hollow tines you can place the cores in the swath in a single operation with the optional swathboard. This makes the subsequent collection of the cores much easier.

• Solid tines 3 /16" x 2 1 /2", 3 /16" x 5 1 /4", 5 /16" x 2 1 /2", or 5 /16" x 6" are mounted in the "nail board" multi-tine holder. 24, 16, or 8 tines can be mounted, depending on the task and the required hole pattern. The "sandwich construction" of the nail board allows quick and easy tine replacement.
